National Fitness Trade Journal, was developed when Wally Boyko began a search to find a fitness industry publication for health clubs, fitness centers and gyms. There were management, racquet sports, and sporting good publications, but no trade publications for the fitness industry. The National Fitness Trade Journal made its debut in the Spring of 1982. The National Fitness Trade Journal is geared to the owners and administrators of fitness centers and health clubs. The editorial focus is to keep them informed of equipment and new products on the market. The National Fitness Trade Journal is now in its 26th year of publication.

Page Layout files: Quark, PageMaker, InDesign files - Include all links and fonts (be sure to include both the screen and printer fonts if using Type1 fonts).
Illustration files: Files created in illustration programs such as Adobe Illustrator or Macromedia FreeHand must have all fonts converted to paths or outlines and saved as an EPS file. There should be no font information contained in the file.
Photoshop files: Files created in Adobe Photoshop should be flattened and saved as a TIFF or EPS. Files should not be saved as native Photoshop files. Resolution should be a minimum of 300 ppi. Bitmap line art files should be a minimum of 600 ppi.
General Info: Information for Illustration and Photoshop files also applies to links for Page Layout files. All colors should be CMYK. Include current color laser print. Create file at finished size and include bleeds if bleed applies.

CIRCULATION
The controlled circulation of the NFTJ gives you the marketing opportunities to reach the best prospects for your products on a consistent basis. Advertisers enjoy a broad consumer base by reaching numerous types of circulation to all fitness facilities inclusive of: fitness centers, health clubs, racquet clubs, personal training centers, military installations, athletic clubs, fitness resorts, recreational facilities, major colleges/universities, Y's, aerobic studios, country clubs, professional sports teams, gymnasiums, corporations, developers, hotels, wellness centers, karate schools, hospitals, and many other interested fields.

TERMS: NET 30 DAYS
Advertising Agency discounts will be nullified if payment is not received within thirty days, and unpaid balances shall bear interest of 1.5% per month (18% per annum).

Advertising must be inserted within one year of the first insertion to earn frequency discounts. Rates are based on total number of insertions or issues used. Multiple units of space in one issue may be used to earn frequency discounts. 2-page spreads are counted as two units for purposes of determining frequency. Unfilled contracts incur short-rate to the next highest earned rate.

In the event of non-payment, the Publisher reserves the right to hold advertiser and/or agency jointly or severally liable for such monies as are due and payable to the Publisher. The Publisher shall be entitled to recover its reasonable attorney's fees and all court costs incurred in the event litigation shall be necessary to collect monies owed.

The Publisher will not be bound by any conditions, printed or otherwise, appearing on any insertion order or contract when they conflict with the terms and conditions of this rate card.

All copy subject to approval by the Publisher.

The Publisher has the right to ad the word "Advertisement" to any ad which creates the illusion that it is editorial matter.

Positioning of ads is at the discretion of the Publisher except where specific positions are contracted for.
